One of my partially finished pieces has been hanging on the wall for months waiting for an update, and I can’t decide what I want to do with it, but is my indecisiveness keeping me from moving forward with it?

Hey Dave,
A good friend of mine used to say, “Sometimes you have to be brave enough to ruin something good in order to make something great.” Maybe you are afraid to keep moving forward in unknown directions because you don’t want to lose what you have done so far.
I think it looks great, but it seems like it is just a start. Why don’t you start filling in some more of the canvas and see where it takes you. I think just laying some paint down anywhere, may give you a push, you’ll at least have something new to react to.

Thanks Cathy. Yeah, I need to do something and stop worrying about how I’m going to mess it up. Worse case scenario, i can always paint over it, right?
