On a tip from an artist I respect and admire, I decided to check out some water soluble paint pens. I can’t say this was a rousing success, but I definitely think this is something I could get into. I want to try and do some figurative work with them, but the fat, square nib throws me off a bit, turns out a bit like calligraphy; and the thinner, pen-like nib is too small to do substantial line work. Either way, I definitely see this as being a new avenue to my art, so stay tuned.
