Is this the future of my art?

It’s been months since I worked on physical art outside of a few journal pages. I stopped because I was bored with what I was making.

I spent so much energy in the past just hustling through projects that left me unfulfilled. I haven’t picked up a paintbrush since October and feel perfectly OK about it.

The more I allow myself space to make art, the clearer the path to my next project will be.

I don’t usually make a habit of sharing my project ideas publicly until they’re at least a little underway, but considering I haven’t mentioned my art here at all. Now seems like a good time.

I have this vision of creating temporary works, collages assembled just long enough to capture the image and then disassembled so the pieces can be reused.

The photographs will be turned into small-quantity, limited-edition art prints, with the goal being that the prints cover the cost of the original.

I have a second idea where the originals are assembled permanently, and instead of holding onto them, I will distribute them around in public display.

I have an instinct to document the process and share it on YouTube, but not committed to that idea yet until I can practice.

Unfortunately, with how our weather has been the last 48 hours, I am unsure of the damage inside the studio and when I’ll be able to work in there again. That’s a temporary issue, though.
