Great exploration, Dave! I like the way this was written as well: a description of your process rather than a prescription to "do XYZ". Letting the reader absorb it and decide what they want to do with this practice
This is great and reminds me of brainstorming with my art director in the early 2000s! Often times the first ideas were the best and we’d return to those initial thoughts. Nowadays I find the best ideas come on a dog walk or in the shower lol
Thanks, Susie. I spent a lot of offline time over the past few days and it’s kind of wild how many idea I had around my art and what i will end up sharing here on Substack. i have a lot going on up top right now.

Thanks Aahana. Thats my goal with this pub; share my experience and findings, letting people pick up on what resonates with them. Glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve been looking for opportunities that are outside my norm.
Last week I went to a casino. I hate casinos and it was worse than I expected.
I ended up stumbling into a lapidary workshop for retirees and it was amazing.
Today I opened Eventbrite looking for something happening and found there was a lecture going on from 10-11 just a short drive from me.
It was by our official Arizona state balladeer.
It was possibly the best thing I’ve seen in months.
Quite the meandering journey. Nice.

Great ideas seem to come to me when I am alone and quiet but getting out is something I will try.
We have a lovely clubhouse. I could get away.
You could sit outside your beautiful back yard. You just have to fight every urge to find something to do inside or around the yard.
You are right! I love our yard. Early morning coffee. Don’t forget I have a busy boyfriend! Ha! I usually wait til he takes off but that is no excuse.
