I can't quit you
I planned on quietly skipping this week's newsletter, but my sense of obligation got the better of me.
Are you familiar with the Irish Goodbye? It means quietly leaving a party or event without saying anything to anyone, leaving everyone wondering, “What happened to Dave?”
Except I’m terrible at them. I always feel compelled to at least say goodbye to the host, and then everyone I know along the way—because who doesn’t love hugs and handshakes?
No, no, I’m not trying to leave out the back door and abandon my newsletter (who leaves their own party?), but Dave is a busy boy this week, working quietly on two separate projects, and I thought I might skip the newsletter this week.
Except my better nature got the best of me.
I woke up this morning feeling bad that I wasn’t going to publish anything today and immediately started strategizing what I would talk about. And though I wasn’t planning on sharing these new projects yet, no time like the present.
The first project is about the work I’ve been doing behind closed doors that I don’t talk about much, and the other project is for helping creative people like you.
Signal & Scale
Over the past eight months, I’ve been working with a couple of lifestyle brands to help fix their email game, going deeper than the typical “Get a 10% discount when you join.” I’m finally launching that brand officially as Signal & Scale, where I build smarter funnels, write better copy, and build an automation machine to do the boring stuff in the background while owners get back to doing the work they’re good at.
I’m not showing this one off yet, but I’ll share it soon.
The Prompt Creative
This is my sandbox for artists, designers, and other creative types who want to use AI without turning into a LinkedIn thought leader. The goal is to serve up ethically sourced prompts, spicy takes, and just enough structure to make you feel productive without killing the creative high. Basically, it’s like a robot intern for your creative projects who side-hustles as a life coach.
I post twice a week, with one in-depth prompt for members and one free prompt or operating tip to help use AI in a way that helps but doesn’t strip away the parts that are important to you—the creativity. And yes, the membership is in place. I don’t gate-keep everything, but daddy’s got to eat, know what I’m saying?
Here’s my most recent post for those who don’t know what to make of this new information, totally free:
I don’t expect everyone to jump on board with
, but a lot of what I’m learning is blowing my mind, and I may share some revelations I’ve learned through it on this newsletter in the future. For instance, I’m currently trying to perfect a prompt that helps artists find galleries (local and nationwide) that work with artists of a particular style and medium that are open to new artist inquiries.
That one is a bit tricky, but I’m getting closer to a result. If you want to know how it works out, maybe subscribe to
, but absolutely no pressure.Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you next Friday.
