I know I said zero social media, but...

I decided today to go back to my original declaration of not sharing on social media. I won’t be sharing on most social media outlets, but because I want to make this a “build in public” project, it feels important to share it somewhere other than within these walls.

I shared yesterday’s post on Threads, and it brought some people over to read, which means the content resonated at least a little. Threads being a micro-blogging platform (although the algorithm doesn’t seem to appreciate threaded posts, which is weird, given the name), I think it’s a good crossover to go from there to here and vice versa.

Of course, Thread friends won’t get all the juice because I have to leave some mystery for the non-subscribers. One of the best features of Beehiiv is the ability to change the interaction between passive readers and subscribers.

At this point in the journey, everything is an experiment, and it will take some time before I know what works and what doesn’t. For instance, I have an announcement tomorrow that takes me back to a place I was at a year ago. This time, I’m taking what I learned from that experience and bringing it forward with more focused attention.
