Productivity is an imperative

If I want all this to work, I need to force myself out of my comfort zone

Do not ask me to organize your life because I can’t.

I’ve been absolute trash with keeping myself to an organization plan even since grammar school / Trapper Keeper days.

I have aspirations of being good at it, and I think I do a decent job of setting myself up for success, but I struggle to stick to the plan. Within months or even weeks after attempting a new approach, I’ve sidestepped my way back into my old routines of flying by the seat of my pants.

This has to changed because although I’m getting work done, I find myself doing busy work because I don’t have a list in front of me to focus on.

I need to brute force my way into productivity for the sake of my business because the tasks are stacking up and they aren’t going away.

Nobody ever tells you that the real art of productivity is to keep yourself motivated to stay on task.

Maybe my issue is that I try too hard to squeeze ever single idea into the project list from the start and I need to take things a bit more slowly. Or maybe I need to be less of a punk and harass myself until I focus on the projects in front of me.

I’ve blamed all this on being a creative, and I’m sure some of you can probably relate, but I have creative friends who are vastly more organized than myself, so it’s something more.

It’s possible that something more is that I need to train myself to not be such a punk about this and get to work.
