Why I’m changing my posting schedule

It’s all about consistency with the readership… which means you.

When I’m writing or editing these posts, this box on the right gives me a selection of options for the post, including the ability to add guest authors.

Although I allow collaborations on The Hungry, you will never see them here. This is uniquely my space, and there’s no reason to share other voices besides mine.

I’ve been posting almost daily since the beginning of February here. Since I am the only author, editor, and publisher, and because I have a lot of irons in the fire at once, daily writing can steal a reasonable amount of time from the other projects. I’ve also noticed that I’ve been less inclined to write my deep dives for The Hungry because I’ve spent so much time here.

In an effort to create more space to breathe and spend time on the other projects, I’m changing the posting schedule here to three days a week. And because there are now Dave+ members to consider, it’s important to live up to my obligations.

Starting today, I’ll be sharing two blog posts per week, one exclusive to paid members and one free to everyone. I’ll also be sharing one email per week for Dave+ members, with free subscribers getting the regularly scheduled posts every other week*.

*I’m shifting from twice monthly to every other week simply to better manage the posting schedule.

Of course, if you don’t visit the blog, then all you’ll see are the emails, but the archive is always here for you.

See you on Monday.
